XIMB offers five academic programmes
Post-Graduate Programme in Business Management (PGP): This is a two-year full-time programme leading to Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM). Applicants seeking admission to the programme must have a three-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Applicants are required to take the Admission Test (XAT) conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur. Applicants shortlisted on the basis of XAT are called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Final selection is on the basis of candidate’s performance in the XAT as well as Group Discussion and Personal Interview (which factors in the past academic record and relevant work experience).

Executive Post-Graduate Programme in Business Management (ExPGP): This is a three-year part-time Post-Graduate Programme in Business Management for working executives leading to PGDBM. A candidate seeking admission to the programme must have a three-year Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience in executive capacity in an organisation of repute in the public, private or non-governmental sector. Self-employed persons with minimum five years experience after obtaining qualifying degree are also eligible. The age limit of the candidates should be between 24 and 45 years. Applicants have to apply online for the XIMB programme and the eligible candidates are called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Post-Graduate Programme in Rural Management (PGRM): This is a two-year full-time programme leading to Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGRM). Candidates seeking admission to the course are required to take either IRMA test or XAT. Shortlisted candidates are called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview and final selection is made on the candidate’s performance in the written test as well as Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Besides the above programmes the XIM Bhubaneswar also conducts Doctoral-level Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), and One-year Post-Graduate Certificate in Business Management (PGCBM).
