Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) is a constituent of Symbiosis International Educational Centre. The institute was established in 1978 and is considered as one of the premier Business Schools in India. In 2002, SIBM got the Deemed University status because of its excellent academic record.

Academic courses offered by SIBM Pune are:

Masters in Business Administration (MBA):This is a two-year full-time programme and offers specializations in Human Resource, Marketing, Finance and Operations Management. A total of 160 students are selected for the course. Candidates seeking admission to the course must have a graduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks at graduation level. Selection is done on the basis of a written exam (SNAP), group discussion, individual presentation, and personal interview.

MBA-Marketing Communications (Marcom): This is a two-year full time program. The focus of the program is developing brand equity, brand identity and developing a sustainable differentiation for the brand in the mind of the target audience. A total of 60 students are selected for the course. Candidates seeking admission to the course must have a graduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks at graduation level. Selection is done on the basis of a written exam (SNAP), group discussion, individual presentation, and personal interview.

Executive MBA: This programme is conducted for working executives. The classes are held in the evening to enable corporates to continue their work and at the same time carry on their studies. The total number of students admitted to the programme is 60. Candidate seeking admission to the programme must be a graduate with five years of post qualification work experience. Selection is basis of an entrance test and personal interview.

Besides the above programmes SIBM conducts a number of part time one-year diploma programmes. These include: Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM), Postgraduate Diploma in Advertising and Communication Management (PGDACM), Postgraduate Diploma in Insurance Management (PGDIM), Postgraduate Diploma in Finance, Banking and Financial Services (PGDFBFS), Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM), and Postgraduate Diploma in Operations Management (PGDOM)
