Some Last minute tips for JMET aspirants , one must remember JMET is quite different from CAT . The unpredictability if JMET is its best weapon and quite a large number of students fail to understand the pattern and the strategy on how they should go about attempting the paper. The paper as per my expectations would be quite simple as previous year( do not take it as a final word) or even if the paper turns out to be like it used to be you must always stick one policy of clearing the cuttoffs in all the sections which would go quite high in case the paper is simple.

People score too well in JMET but in the end they fail to ckear the cuttoff in one of the sections and most of the time a higher scorer might not get qualified.

How to Attempt My Advice in case the paper turns out it was in last year)

Go by first attempting atleast half of the number of questions from each sections first and make sure whatever u mark then is correct. My guess is that last year cutt off went to 15 in english(Which was lowest among rest sections offcourse engineers are poor at language:P).

Least atleast 1 hour to score max out of the sections you found most simple while you attempted the first phase of your strategy.

How to Prepare

Well, this is almost a void question as no one can answer that you need to study what i have told you above might help you in JMET. Just one thing to add do prepare stats and differentiation and some basic grammatical errors they should surely come in the examination.

The exposure and the peer group which you get in a Bschool is one of the best and biggest advantage that a Bschool FT(Full-Time) program provides effectively. The quality of students that you will interact with will be the biggest source of self-improvement and would provide you with best learning opportunities and this is one of the main reasons that Bschools prefer student coming from diverse backgrounds. With such a mixing of multi-skilled persons having different thought processes and ideas which you have never come across ,you get to see a vital facet of learning at any good Bschool. And this is main reason why a correspondence MBA is no match to a regular one.
The Faculty and the Infrastructure are the basic strength of a Bschool, as the faculty plays a very important role in development of your career, which you can get in a good Bschool and certainly the reputed one like IIM,FMS.Infrastructure is important as it opens doors for the outer world ,the library, journals and books which you would not get access to again.
Placements are a big advantage for the MBA’s, the salary’s are mouth watering , while its important to look forward towards you long term goals, one needs to remember that an MBA from a good Institute can give you just the right advantage but later on its the work that you do in the company which will fetch you promotions and rewards.
The networking you get from a bschool helps your career a long way but its important to note that a MBA from a reputed institute would mean that the world expects more out of you compared to others and to take benefit from your MBA one needs to put in a lot of effort and hardwork, which certainly is more rewarding for an MBA.
There is no question that the geography of the Subcontinent gives India a very special place in regional affairs – a fact which demands that India go the extra distance in demonstrating sensitivity to its neighbours’ concerns and avoiding actions that smack of hegemony. Relations between India and Nepal are very unique, given the nature of historic ties between the two peoples and the complex interdependence and interpenetration of the two societies on the groundThe mayhem in Nepal must be seen as symptomatic of a deeper malaise in the Subcontinent, of collapsing institutions, the failure of the political classes to govern purposefully, the growing economic gap between the region and the rest of the world, and the inability to find ways to broaden the basis for regional cooperation.
The Current Crisis unfolds a very primitive and basic problem, the Maoists want to rule the country as they are in power , they wanted their own guerrillas(around 19000) and fighters to be included in the Army(Around 93000) ,but the Army who has been fighting against them for the past 10 years considers that to be a threat as they are politically and ideologically biased.
The sacking the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Katwal though the cabinet decision was a minority decision, taken with all the major coalition partners, including the Communist Party- United Marxist Leninist (UML) disagreeing. The main opposition party, the Nepali Congress (NC) and other smaller groups have been consistently opposing the Maoists decision. President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has asked the Prime Minister to review the decision following which the PM has resigned and the Napalese Congress withdrew support.
More on Current Situation
There are speculations that Indian Foreign Policy particularly the UPA has led to the toppling of the Kingship and comming of the Maoists. The speculations suggest that the UPA Collation with the Left parties gave access to the Communists to modify the Foreign policy towards Nepal. The situation in Nepal has begun erupting with the maoists getting on to streets lighting hundred of torches ,with the incomplete constitution which is to be prepared by 2011 and the interference of China, who is desperate to strike a peace deal so that the state of Tibet does not take advantage of getting support from Nepal.China remains one of the motivating factor to the Maoists as for the Naxalites in India…read more.
Its time for New Delhi to interfere and save the neighbor from breaking apart as it not only protects our borders and is culturally connected but also a democracy and if our neighbors burn in fire we are not safe from it too.
