SNAP 2008 was comparatively tougher. The genral trend of decreasing number of questions prevailed.The paper's toughness increased this year as compared to last year's. Check out the
SNAP GK section here>> .SNAP paper had some discrepancy regarding some of its Logical reasoning questions.But what appeared mostly as not more than a 5 mark difference in marks calculated by coaching institutes and other MBA sites eventually tuned out as 10-20 marks difference.This was shocking for most of the students as they found a 10 mark difference in Quants itself. Expected cut offs would be lower than expected.one of my brilliant friend who got calls from IIM's was scoring a good 96.5 according to CL  eventually got 76, so much difference in marks has led some students formally lodging complaint against SIU(or rumors perhaps).
Overall Number of questions: 90  =>135 marks
Quants/DI                          : 35  =>30 x 1 + 5x2 =40 marks
General Knowledge             : 35  =>30 x 1 + 5x2 =40 marks
General English                  : 35  =>30 x 1 + 5x2 =40 marks
Analytical Reasoning           : 30  => 30x 2          =60 marks

My suggestion for students going for SNAP 2009 would be to identify their key areas and
DO NOT WORRY MUCH ABOUT GK! If you have general knowledge about vitamins,diseases and regularly READ NEWSPAPERS then this would be enough.
SNAP 2008 had GK questions such as:
Find the odd one out?
1) Pamper 2) Dove 3) Tide 4) Pantene
What is Opera?,Inflation implies?,What is Dry Ice? etc.

Strategy Suggestion:

Analytical reasoning  1st    45 mins( 20+ attempts)
Quants/DI                2nd   35 mins (20+ attempts)
General English         3d    35 mins (20+ attempts)
General Knowledge   4th    5 mins   (10+ attempts)
