JMET 2009 Experience , Expectations & Advice for JMET 2010
JMET 2009 was a surprise for all of the candidates, not only did the duration of the test was increased the level of questions came down from toughest to easy-easiest. There wasn't any challenge except keeping your cool and making the most out of what you know. The Cutoff's predicted by various COACHING center's were at max 75 for IIT B call, but the result was a rank of 1971 at 75 marks. It was because coaching centers failed to realise the degree of competition in the JMET.
ADVICE:Next time I don't expect the level of the paper to go tougher, keep your cool, attempt as many questions as you can ,make sure you don't leave out on your strongest sections and if the paper is simple then the cutoff's would be much much higher than expected.
Prepare for JMET by solving easy question because from now on I think just like IIT JEE the paper might be of easier level than previous years.Focus more on easy questions and do not waste time trying to solve tough questions looking at the previous patterns.Just Focus on your strengths.
Best of Luck to JMET 2010 Aspirant.
