IIFT 2008 Experience , Expectations & Advice for IIFT 2009
There were 11 questions in Logical Reasoning section, which resembled to 6 reasoning questions from CAT 2002 and another 5 reasoning questions from CAT 2003 (November). It seems that someone just changed the name and little data, and replicated those questions in IIFT 2008 paper. In few cases, the options were also exactly matching, which is very surprising again.
For questions in the Verbal Ability section, a few GMAT and GRE websites obviously provided a lot of inspiration.
Our advice for IIFT 09 aspirant would be to do previous year CAT questions.Quants,LR,DI,Verbal,RC all sections would be of moderate toughness, the only testing criteria being speed and leaving of lengthy questions.
For the GK part please do not take too much tension as one of my friend made it through IIFT 07 even after getting -1 in GK,.For IIFT 2008 I haven't come across any such thing up till now but one thing about IIFT is that they do not disclose their cutoff criteria. But there are certainly some point for the experience(not much),that's why there always seems some discrepancy(not much though).
Note that IIFT paper is not conducted appropriately so there is a luck factor which would definitely be present.
