The thing that needs to be noted is that this year NMAT's paper level(i.e the degree of toughness) was almost of the same level as last year, the point is,for getting into NMIMS there is about 70+ percent weightage is given to the written examination score . So if you have got a good score and a good rank then you have quite high chances of making through.
Though one needs to consider that last year there were 2500 students called for GD which remains their main criteria for selection of students.This year it is expected that there will be more than 2500 students called for GD.

The Cutoff has increased from 86 last year to 91 this year.
It was not that the paper was easy , but because the number of students have increased which has led to this much increase in cutoffs.This clearly shows that the competition is increasing in all the examinations and probably a Hint what can be the scenario next year.
NMAT Cut Off Criteria:
UPDATE FINAL RESULTS DECLARED :24/03 The Final Results have been declared and the cutoff would seem to go around 400+(predicted as the fees has been increased) rank . Some stats as per PG : Score:103/150 Merit no(Rank):337(WL) Final Score : 97.4, Merit No : 419
Final Score : 96.6, Merit no : 489(Total Seats in NMIMS though are 360) .Though in 2008 the last rank to make it into NMIMS was 400+ in normal merit and 600+ in the management Quota.
