FMS this year was conducted smoothly and uptill now we haven't seen any complaints on how the paper was conducted,unlike last year. Also this year the level of difficulty of the paper was tougher than last year. Last year cutoff's were around 340-360 mark this year all the coaching institutes predict a 100 mark difference in the cutoffs.But this year ALL of US have seen that though the coaching institutes might have been able to predict your marks accurately but they have completely failed to spot the level of competition this year has brought. Take the case of JMET cutoff's predicted by most Coaching institutes were at max 75 for IIT B but the student with 75 marks got 1981 rank.

We cannot predict the cutoff's this time but various coaching institutes predictions are::
TIME: 225
PT: 220
IMS: 200-220
CL: 270
TCY: 280
Latest(8th Feb 09):Now that the results have been uploaded,the cutoff seems to be ranging from 190-280 marks but there is a discrepancy as people with 250 have not made it this time and there have been calls only for MBA or Only for MS. Seems that there is a seperate cutoff criteria for both.Its not Disclosed as of now

Latest(3rd April 09):FMS percentiles are out and the cutoff now seems to be more than 320 for a 99 percentiler, though there has been a case where even a 99.5 percentiler not converting the call one of our members score was 280-305(Acc. to keys available) and percentile 98.431.
Also FMS gives no weightage to work-experience as all documents were verified except the work-ex, during the process.More over the weightage to marks is 70%, where every question is of 4 marks.This implies that every question adds to2.8 marks in your final score.Mantra:Score more to clear FMS !!
Latest(4th July 09):FMS marks and percentiles are out and the cutoff is somewhere around 220 mark way below what coaching institutes predicted. One on our members got a call at 232.5(was scoring 295 asper time)whereas for both the programs cutoff was 235.
What's amazing was the GD/PI marks, it seems that after the RTI they have just adjusted the marks to show or fool the candidates. The differences in PI and GD range from 2 to 20 and the marks are not given on the basis of how much you spoke in the GD/PI.There are marks for dressing(-ve for Over dressing be simple formal). One of our members Ankur jain who has now finally made into FMS states that for cracking FMS you just have to be confident,rest is all Luck. Communication skills do not matter much unless you are able to put your point forward.
